New England

Located in the Northeastern Corner of the United States, and comprised of six states - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, New England abounds with business, research and educational institutions.

Eight of the nation's top 50 universities and 13 of its top 50 liberal arts colleges are located in New England.
Among the better known are Yale and Harvard Universities, as well as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Industries include: pharmaceuticals, insurance, manufacturing and defense-related businesses. Along with state-of-the-art universities and medical centers.
New England also cultivates a rich cultural climate and lies in close proximity to New York City.

Comparable to the Baltic Nations, New England’s population can claim a colorful history of confronting persecution and igniting notions of independence. In yet another parallel both can be classified as coastal regions.
